WATCH: Third time’s the charm as WestJet launches PG to Calgary flight

WATCH:

Prince George residents needing to fly to Calgary can now bypass Vancouver altogether!

WestJet has launched a new direct flight from the Northern capital to ‘Cowtown’ after plans failed to take off two times before.

“It’s a building block approach; we’re going to get Calgary to be strong, and at the point where we’re turning away guests and we’ve got more reservations and more demand, we will then make a decision on if we add a second flight to Calgary, or ask where those guests are going and maybe it would be time for a nonstop [flight].”

– WestJet Executive VP Charles Duncan

WestJet’s ‘Link’ plane can take nearly 40 passengers at a time and round-trip tickets cost roughly $300.
