Three local residents arrested after drugs & weapons seized

Three people were arrested by the RCMP as part of an on-going drug trafficking investigation.

On Thursday July 12th, A loaded hand gun was found hidden in a cereal box at the scene of the arrest outside the Pine Centre Mall.

This led officers to get a search warrant for a residence on the 2200 block of Queensway where mounties seized cocaine, methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and three guns, one of which was confirmed to have been stolen.

A 23-year-old woman has been released on a promise to appear in court for charges related to possession of property obtained by crime and weapons related offences.

The 30-year-old and 27-year-old men arrested were released pending further investigation.

RCMP say all three are well known to them and believe they play a significant role in the local drug trade.
