The Vancouver Giants erased a 3-0 deficit to beat the Prince George Cougars 6-4 before 2,336 fans at CN Centre. The Giants winning goal came with two minutes left in the third (from Shaun Dosanjh) and an empty netter sealed just the second road win in nine tries for the Giants. Thomas Foster notched three assists for Vancouver while goaltender Cody Porter turned aside 21 of the 22 shots he faced in relief of Payton Lee. The Cougars got two goals from Chase Witala, including one with just 2:28 left in the third which briefly tied the game. Rookie Tavin Grant allowed four goals on just 17 shots before he was replaced midway thru the third period by Jared Rathjen. The teams play again tonight in Prince George. It will mark the 2014-15 Cougars debut for 20-year-old forward Zach Pochiro who had hoped to play Tuesday, but got caught in some flight delays.
