Team Norah back again to raise funds for CF

Once again, residents are invited to come out and join the 3rd Annual Team Norah Fundraiser.

All the money raised at the event will go towards finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. CF is a genetic disorder that affects respiratory and digestive systems and can often be fatal.

Last year’s fundraiser saw $5,000 donated. This year the team hopes to break that.

Hub City Volkswagens Sarah Schleich says Norah holds a special place in her heart.

“Norah is an almost five-year-old girl within our community. I met Norah’s mom when we were both pregnant with our kids during a lamaza class. My son was born quote on quote normal and Norah was born with cystic fibrosis. Once you have children the exact same age going through things, you notice the differences in life and how hard it can be.”

The fundraiser kicks off tomorrow from 10AM until 2PM at the Volkswagen Dealership with activities like a silent auction, make-up artists, costumes for a cause, and barbecue taking place.
