Grant’s tenure with the Cougars is over

Tavin Grant has been informed he won’t be one of the three 20-year-olds on the Prince George Cougars 2018-19 roster.

The Cougars cut Grant, who was the team’s starting goaltender for most of last season.

He appeared in 37 games and posted a record of 13-17-1, in addition to a .892 save-percentage (SV%) and a 3.74 goals-against-average (GAA).

The Cougars plan to go with 17-year-old Taylor Gauthier as their main guy in net.

This will be Gauthier’s second season with the team.
