City to close North Nechako Road for construction project

Residents are going to have to avoid using North Nechako Road tomorrow.

Starting at 7AM until Thursday, the City is installing a sanitary sewer and storm drain infrastructure as part of the 28-unit housing development near Mathie Road.

Crews are required to excavate to a depth of five metres, resulting in traffic to be detoured around the site.

Barricades will be placed at North Nechako Road and Foothills Boulevard, near Parkhill Centre and the Brewery.

Only local traffic will be allowed through until construction is complete.

Buses travelling through the area will be rerouted and will return to normal operations once the project is complete.
