A local elementary school has an extra $10,000 to use for some sports programs.
Nusdeh Yoh School has been given the cheque from RBC for its sports academies.
Principal Lisa Norman says they will use the money for the school’s new baseball program.
“So the kid’s have the opportunity to go to up to UNBC and use the field for indoor training,” says Norman, “and we’ll take that right through until June.”
Norman says the baseball academy will see up to 25 students taking part.
She says this is a spin-off of Nusdeh Yoh’s successful hockey academy.
