Just 25 players, including 13 veterans, remain with the Prince George Spruce Kings as they gear up for their only two pre-season games this week.
The Spruce Kings have three goalies, eight defencemen, and 14 forwards on the roster following their three-day training camp on the weekend.
Three of the players looking to secure a spot spent last season with the Cariboo Cougars.
The Spruce Kings host the Merritt Centennials Wednesday, 7PM at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (RMCA) with a $5 admission.
Same two teams also meet Friday in Merritt.
The Spruce Kings begin their BCHL regular season on Friday, September 7th when they host the 2018 RBC Cup-champion Chilliwack Chiefs.
