Brief Police chase ends with long list of offences

If you were out on the roads on Sunday you may have witnessed more than what you were bargaining for.

A short Police chase ensued after a car was found with mismatched license plates and was travelling well beyond the posted speed limit.

The driver of the vehicle was driving recklessly, almost forcing several other cars off the road and Police pursued the Vehicle over the John Hart Bridge before the car exited and lost control, striking traffic signs and actually shearing off a signal post.

After a short foot pursuit the suspect was apprehended without incident and now faces numerous offenses including flight from Police, Dangerous Driving, and misuse of BC plates.

The North District RCMP are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen the incident, and you are being asked to contact them with any information.
