City of Prince George adds another $8.5 million to loan

Already under fire from some for a big-ticket loan, the city added $8.5 million to that price tag.

At the meeting Monday evening, Prince George City Council approved the payments for two more projects that will be tacked onto a $32 million loan, pending its approval.

“We have to pay our bills. It’s done and we have to pay them,” said councillor Terri Mcconnachie.

The Winnipeg Sinkhole Remediation Project will add another $1,708, 359 to the MFA debt, and the Willow Cale Haggith Creek Repair project will be ringing in at $6,800, 000.
