Another Measles Case in 100 Mile House

Measles has been confirmed in a second 100 Mile House patient.

Interior Health says the case is connected to the first case confirmed March 9th. The cases in 100 Mile House are not connected to the coastal outbreak. They confirm that the two cases are the only ones in the Interior Health region.

IH says they are monitoring and following up with persons who may have been exposed. The risk to the general public is considered to be low.

Persons who were at the Interlakes Market on Wednesday, March 13 between 6 pm and 9 pm may have been exposed, and should contact their Community Health Center if they are experiencing symptoms.

Measles vaccinations are available on a drop in basis at the South Cariboo Health Center and the Williams Lake Health Center.
