City of PG parts ways with City Manager

Beth James is no longer City Manager for Prince George.

In a press release sent out Saturday, the City says the end of the relationship between the two reflects a “mutually agreed to decision.”

It also “reflects Mayor and Council’s intention to chart a new course for the City.

The departure is effective immediately and there’s no word yet on when the process to hire James’ replacement will start.

She had the city’s top staff job since May 2013.

Council will also be holding a closed door meeting on Monday to consider subject matter relating to labour relations.
