City of PG beginning work on transitioning Lower Patricia Boulevard Encampment

Work towards the closure of the Lower Patricia Boulevard Encampment (Moccasin Flats) has begun, following BC Supreme Court's decision on August 14.

City staff to explore riverfront vitality plan

The City of Prince George will be considering what could be done to revitalize the riverfronts in the City. This came from a notice of motion presented by Councillors Trudy Klassen and Tim Bennett at last night's (Wednesday) City Council meeting. 

Council moving ahead with vacant downtown property research

Prince George City Council voted to move ahead with research on vacant properties in the downtown area, and how to fill them. This was a continuation of a discussion held on the topic during Council's last meeting. 

Official Community Plan coming back for public hearing

The City's Official Community Plan (OCP) is going to another public hearing. At tonight's (Wednesday) meeting, Prince George City Council made progress on the City's OCP, implementing resolutions made earlier this year, and giving the OCP Bylaw second reading. 

City surpasses one-year housing target

The City of Prince George is making good progress on its Housing Target Order. Under the Housing Supply Act, the B.C. Government set a five-year target of 1,803 new units for Prince George last year. 

Canfor Leisure Pool to be closed for annual maintenance

If you want to go for an indoor swim, the Aquatic Centre will be your best bet. Starting tomorrow (Tuesday), the Canfor Leisure Pool will be closed for annual maintenance until September 21st. 

Updated OCP coming back to Council table

The City's Official Community Plan is coming back to the Council table. At this week's meeting, taking place Wednesday evening, Prince George City Council will discuss the implementation of Council Resolutions from previous meetings. 

Canfor Leisure Pool to be closed much of September for maintenance

Today (Monday), the city announced the Canfor Leisure Pool will close for three weeks from September 2nd to 21st for routine annual maintenance.The facility will reopen on September 22nd.

PG’s new Manager of Bylaw Services enjoying new role so far

Prince George's new Manager of Bylaw Services was introduced to the City's Standing Committee on Public Safety. Kent MacNeill has been in the role for around a month now.
