The Prince George Cougars lost their last three on their Prairie road trip to end up 2-3-1 over the six games.

P.G. blew a 3-1 lead late in the 2nd period and dropped a 5-3 decision to the Regina Pats.

The Cougars host WHL leading Kelowna Friday and Saturday.

The Major Midget Cariboo Cougars won both games in Abbotsford over the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds; 5-2 Saturday and 4-2 Sunday.

The 26-7-3 Cougars have four regular season games, all on the road.

They visit the Vancouver NW Giants Saturday and Sunday

The Cougars are tied for first place with the Valley West Hawks although the Hawks have two games in hand.

The Prince George Spruce Kings went 2-7 on a 9-game home-stand following a split with the Surrey Eagles.

The Spruce Kings took the opener 9-3 before the Eagles rallied for a 4-3 triumph.

P.G. will play at Wenatchee Friday and Saturday.

The UNBC Timberwolves lost a pair of doubleheaders in Canada West basketball to first place TRU in Kamloops.

With four games left in the season, the UNBC men are 3-13 while the Lady Timberwolves are 2-14.

Sarah Beaudry of Prince George was part of the Canadian team that placed 6th out of 22 teams in the mixed relay at the Biathlon World Cup in Canmore, Alberta.

The mixed relay consists of each athlete skiing 6 kilometres (women) 7.5 kilometres (men), with two bouts of shooting.

Earlier, Beaudry was second of four Canadians and a career best 38th overall in the women’s World Cup 7.5-kilometre sprint.

Meryeta O’Dine of Prince George won gold each of the final two days at the Snowboard Cross North American Cup female races
that was held at Tabor Mountain.

The Prince George Judo Club earned six gold, one silver and two bronze at the Judo BC Youth Championships in Kamloops.

The North Capital Judo Club finished with a gold, three silver and one bronze.
