Szarka played high school football at Terry Fox High in Port Coquitlam before suiting up in the NCAA with Eastern Illinois.

“It’s not often you have the opportunity to strengthen your coaching staff with the character and experience of Chris. Szarka was a captain with the Riders and his presence in the locker room and on the field was invaluable to our success, he makes other people around him better. I am looking forward to coaching with Chris and being on the same team again. We’ve been through some things as teammates that will help us be great for the players and our community. “ Head Coach Jamie Boreham

The Kodiaks kick off their Spring Evaluation Camp on Friday, which features their Black and Gold Scrimmage Sunday at 1pm.
