Doig sends Devils into gates of Hell with 13-point performance

It didn’t take much for the RPR Mechanical / BX Pub Bandits to fill the void left by Cole Paciejewski.

The trio of Drew Doig, Justin Parker, and Carson Toth netted 28 points combined to lead the Bandits to a commanding 16-6 win on Thursday against the Westwood Pub Devils.

The star of the game once again was Doig thanks to a 13-point performance giving him an astronomical 47 points in just four playoff games.

It was Toth’s turn to fill in for Paciejewski who recorded seven points of his own, including five goals.

“It is just about staying focused through the whole game – we are missing some guys who help a lot but once you figure out where to fill the holes, good things happen.”

Toth says it was really easy to play with a pair of players of that calibre.

“They always have you set up nicely as long as you are moving your feet they will feed you the ball and if you’re not they will still find a way to get it to you when those guys are on the floor.”

The Bandits now have a stranglehold on the best-of-five Prince George Senior Lacrosse final with a 2-0 series lead heading into Game Three on Tuesday from Kin 1.

“We feel pretty good with the last two wins and the way they have been going, we are feeling pretty good even if we are missing some players,” says Toth.

Thanks to an eight-point effort, Parker now has 28 points in four playoff games, which is second on the Bandits only behind Doig.
