“To the best of my knowledge, no one has ever out-run a police dog.”
That from Prince George RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass, speaking about two men who were taken into custody Friday morning around 9:00 a.m. after breaking into an abandoned building off Highway 16 east of the Yellowhead Bridge that’s used for … police training.
“Azar” the police dog was deployed on the two men and they were quickly arrested, one was briefly taken to University Hospital for treatment of a bite wound.
The two local suspects, aged 38 and 40, are said to have a history with police and will appear in court in April on Break and Enter charges.
