Two separate inquests into two Northern BC sawmill explosions will take place later this year.
BC’s Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe announced today that one inquest will look at the circumstances that lead to the explosion at Lakeland Mills in Prince George, and another one will do the same for the explosion at Babine Forest Products in Burns Lake.
Last August, Lapointe announced a single inquest into the two explosions would take place in Prince George.
Lapointe says this comes after receiving further information from families and survivors of the mill blasts.
The Lakeland Mills inquest will take place on March 2nd in Prince George and the Babine Forest Products one will take place on July 13th in Burns Lake.
