Prince George is welcoming a new resident, with the birth of Northern B.C.’s very own New Year’s baby in Prince George’s University Hospital.
Aubrey Nellis was born at 12:21 am on New Year’s day, weighing 7lbs, 14oz to parents Tiffany and Clayton Nellis.
Tiffany, Aubrey’s mother, explained the family is settling in ‘perfectly’ with their newest member.
“We were pretty excited that our little one was healthy and here!” she exclaimed.
“We could not believe she was the first (Northern B.C.) baby of the New Year! She has had a lot of attention because of it!”
Aubrey was also welcomed by two big brothers, Â Jayvin, 14 and Hayden, 11.
“They both had huge smiles and didn’t want to put her down,” said Nellis.
“We certainly won’t forget this moment. Word spread pretty quickly that she made her entrance!”
The first baby born in the province in 2020 was a girl, delivered at Fraser Health’s Royal Columbian Hospital, just 20 minutes earlier.
