Prince George eclipses 417 housing starts in 2019

The number of new housing starts in Prince George during 2019 was pretty much an exact replica of the previous year.

According to the Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation, 417 new homes broke ground in the northern capital, nearly on par with the 2018 total of 427.

When comparing cities of similar size, Prince George trailed Kamloops who had 657 housing starts in 2019.

Vernon and Courtenay posted 507 and 501 new starts respectively during the same time period.
