PG Cougars to pick 2nd in Bantam Draft after winning lottery

The Prince George Cougars had their ball picked in the WHL Bantam Draft Lottery meaning they will move up two spots.

The Cougars have the second overall pick, behind the Regina Pats in the Bantam Draft which will be conducted online on Wednesday, April 22nd.

Prince George had a 14 per cent chance of winning the lottery.

“We’re ecstatic, there are so many good players at the top of this draft class. To move up to second overall and select an elite talent is very gratifying and great for our organization,” said Cougars’ General Manager & Head Coach Mark Lamb.

Because of earlier trades, PG will also pick 17th and 22nd overall in the first round.
