The City of PG to temporarily scrap downtown parking time limits

The City of Prince George will no longer be enforcing time limits for parking downtown and near the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia.

Both on-street and non-reserved off-street parking will be affected until further notice.

Customers currently parking in City parkades can cancel their parking spot to take advantage of the new rules, and will be offered a pro-rated refund.

They are encouraged to contact: [email protected].

However, parking control officers will continue to enforce safety-related parking issues throughout the City and provide enforcement for customer-reserved parking.

This means that while downtown parking is free, motorists are still required to respect reserved stalls, handicapped parking spaces, and avoid parking illegally.

More information, including the full release can be found on the City’s website.
