The City of Prince George is reminding motorists the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Victoria is closed as crews complete a water main replacement project.
Dominion Street is the detour route.
The pipe that was replaced overnight (Thursday) was made of cast iron and is approximately 64 years old.
The water mains in the area are among the City’s oldest, and the replacement was done to prevent potential breaks.
Paving is now underway and the intersection is open to single-lane, alternating traffic, although motorists should consider using Dominion Street instead.
