The College of New Caledonia’s (CNC) 2020 grad class is preparing for an unconventional graduation ceremony on Thursday (June 25th).
Students will be participating in a virtual convocation ceremony, featuring messages from CNC Administration, community dignitaries, and student speakers.
“Though COVID-19 has challenged our understanding of what it means to gather together, I’m pleased we are still able to recognize the accomplishments of CNC students at a virtual convocation ceremony,” said CNC Board of Governors Chair Gil Malfair.
This year’s convocation ceremony will be available online at 11 A.M.
A program with the names of every CNC graduate will also be available on the same page, along with an on-demand version of the ceremony following the premiere.
The community can use the hashtag #cncgrad2020 on Instagram and Twitter to have photos and messages featured on the CNC Virtual Convocation Tweet Wall that will be live on from Monday to Friday.
A pickup schedule for grad bags, which include a grad cap and tassel, has been posted online.
CNC has more than 100,000 alumni over the College’s 50-year history.
Any student graduating in 2020 will also be welcome to walk across the stage at CNC’s 2021 convocation ceremony.
