Spruce Kings acquire defenseman Main from Wenatchee

The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired D Tanner Main from the Wenatchee Wild in exchange for future considerations.

The ’00 born blueliner finished the 2019-20 campaign with 2 goals and 17 assists in 54 games.

Clocking in at 5’10, 160 pounds, the 20-year-old is also committed to playing NCAA Division 1 Hockey at Bentley University in 2021-22.

“Tanner is a veteran defenceman who is very skilled, moves the puck well and will be able to run our power-play,” said GM Mike Hawes.

“He is a great addition to our team, and we are excited that we were able to complete a deal to acquire him.”

Before joining the Wild, the Welland, ON product spent two seasons with the St. Catherines Falcons of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.

He finished with 8 goals, 32 assists in 76 games played in those two seasons.
