NFL: 

–Week 8 of the NFL season will begin tonight (Thursday 5:20 PT) when the Atlanta Falcons visit the Carolina Panthers. The Falcons are 1-6 while the Panthers sit at 3-4 in the NFC South.

MLB:

–The MLB commissioner’s office has begun a full investigation after Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers disregarded protocol following a positive COVID-19 test to join his team in on-field celebrations after winning the World Series. After the game, the 35-year-old third baseman tweeted that he was feeling “great” and wasn’t experiencing any symptoms.

NBA:

–Toronto Raptors guard Terence Davis has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. Defence lawyer Greg Esposito told TSN that his client denies the charges. Davis has his next court date on Dec. 11. The Raptors have said they are seeking more information.

BCHL:

–The Prince George Spruce Kings have their next pre-season game on Saturday, November 7th when they host the Merritt Centennials at the RMCA. The Spruce Kings are 2-1 in exhibition action against the Centennials in October. Brandon Dent, Hunter Brown, Blake Astorino and Alex Ochitwa of PG play for Merritt.
