–The wait continues for the Prince George Cougars to take to the ice. The WHL confirmed speculation by officially announcing that the league is delaying the start of its season. The Board of Governors will meet next month to consider potential start dates and schedules. In a statement the league said “with public health restrictions in place across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest U.S., the WHL is not in a position to start its Regular Season as planned on January 8.”
