Northern Health warns of possible COVID-19 exposure at Prince George shelter

Northern Health is advising PG residents of a possible COVID-19 exposure alert at Active Support Against Poverty, 1188 6th Avenue, in Prince George.

The potential exposure event happened at the shelter between January 19th and 21st.

Public health officials are asking people who visited the shelter during this time period to take extra care to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 until February 5th.

Contact tracing is now underway and, where possible, NH is reaching out directly to individuals who have been exposed.

The Health Authority also notes that if people remain healthy and do not develop any symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate.
