–The Prince George Spruce Kings have signed General Manager Mike Hawes to a three-year contract extension.
Hawes is in his 16th season with the team, including 10 as GM. He was named the BCHL Executive of the year in 2019.

The (9-12) Toronto Raptors continue a 6-game road trip tonight in Brooklyn and Saturday in Atlanta. The Raptors are coming off Tuesday’s 123-108 victory in Orlando where Fred VanVleet set a team record with 54 points.

NFL: (Super Bowl)

–The Kansas City Chiefs are 3-point favourites to win the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 55. The Chiefs will play the Bucs in Tampa on Sunday with a 3:30 PM PT kickoff. About 25,000 fans are expected to attend.
