(Bo Horvat scored the only goal of the shootout. Horvat set up the tying goal by Adam Gaudette with just 40 seconds left in the third period. Thatcher Demko made 29 saves for the (12-15-2) Canucks, who have won three straight. The same two teams play again Wednesday night at 8:00 in Vancouver)

BCHL:

The Prince George Spruce Kings should know in the next day or two if there will be a mini BCHL season. The League Board of  Governors will vote this week on whether or not to cancel the season.

Curling:

Wild Card 2 (Kevin Koe) is a perfect 5-0 to set the pace at the Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary. Manitoba’s Jason Gunnlaugson is 3-0. BC is off to a 1-2 start.

NFL:

Megabucks for QB Dak Prescott. The Dallas Cowboys and Prescott have agreed on the richest contract in club history, a $160 million, four-year deal. The contract reportedly includes $126 million guaranteed and an NFL-record $66 million signing bonus.

 

NBA:

The Toronto Raptors play their next game on Thursday when they host the Atlanta Hawks in Tampa Bay. The (17-19) Raptors are in 8th place in the Eastern Conference.
