Brett Connolly of Prince George has joined the Chicago Blackhawks after he was acquired from the Florida Panthers as part of a five-player deal.
The 28-year-old former P.G. and Cariboo Cougars forward has just two goals and two assists in 21 games this season with the Panthers.

Justin Rose made seven birdies and an eagle during a 10-hole stretch for a 7-under 65 at the Masters. Rose followed that up with an even-par 72. At 7-under, 137 he has the second-round clubhouse lead.

Brendan Bottcher of Canada finished the round-robin 9-4 to clinch a playoff spot at the world men’s curling championship in Calgary. Bottcher beat Norway 6-4 Thursday night to ensure Canada will compete in men’s curling at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Today (Friday), Canada beat Germany 9-6.
