Local Francophone community hosts city-wide scavenger hunt

Le Cercle des Canadiens Français de Prince George is hosting a city-wide scavenger hunt called “Trouvez-nous! Can you find us?” throughout the month of May.

The local non-profit has hung up posters and pictures across Prince George, the three winners will take home a prize valued at $50 on June 1st.

“We’ve hung up some signage in Prince George to let people know a little more about some of our community projects, but we decided to make it a little more fun and turn it into a photo scavenger hunt,” explained Érika Lacaille, Le Cercle des Canadiens Français spokesperson.

There are five different locations involved in the hunt, two of which are near local businesses, another two can be found at select bus stops.

All busses in town are equipped with a poster as well, which accounts for the last location.

“If someone sees it, take a picture and then either tag us on social media or email us with it, then their name gets put into a draw to win a prize worth $50,” explained Lacaille.

Lacaille says this hunt is a fun way for the non-profit to spread awareness for their work, which often involves welcoming French-speaking immigrants and getting them settled into the community better.

“Trouvez-nous! Can you find us?” will be running from May 5th to 30th, the non-profit welcomes all Prince George residents to participate.

More information on “Trouvez-nous! Can you find us?” can be found on the events Facebook page.
