Rheaume earns scholarship to UMass Lowell

Another key contributor for the Prince George Spruce Kings has secured an NCAA commitment.

Nick Rhéaume has signed on with UMass Lowell.

The 19-year-old from Sherbrooke, Quebec, finished the 2021 pod season with six goals and eight assists in
20 games played.

“It was an exciting moment for me and my family! My goal has always been to play at the
highest level of hockey while pursuing my studies. I’m just really happy I have the opportunity to
play at the NCAA Division 1 level,” said Rheaume.

Spruce Kings Head Coach Alex Evin spoke glowingly about the power-forward.

“We are very proud of Nick Rhéaume and he and his family are very deserving of this
achievement. Nick has worked hard on his game this past year both on and off the ice. He is very
committed to the process and is developing into a very impactful player. We are excited to have
him back in the fall.”

Rhéaume spent the majority of the pod season playing alongside Rowan Miller and Simon Labelle, who are both able to return for next season.
