Dan McTeague says PG gas stations getting a little greedy after not dropping prices

Canadians for Affordable Energy President Dan McTeague is taking a swing at Prince George gas stations.

Yesterday (Sunday) most of the country saw fuel prices plummet by nearly 11-cents per litre including Vancouver.

However, in PG, gas prices still remain at the dollar-forty-two range.

McTeague told MyPGNow.com local gas stations are getting greedy by taking in the increased profit margins.

“If gas stations in Prince George or anywhere in the west are not passing on what has been for them a nine-point-seven cent wholesale price decrease then one has to consider they are pocketing the money and there is no other way to describe it.”

“Whatever price you were paying on Saturday should be down by no less than ten cents per litre. If I am looking carefully at prices right across the country we have seen most places drop especially in the eastern part of the country.”

Costco remains the cheapest place to fuel up at 134.9 cents per litre.

“It’s time to pass on those savings and it doesn’t really matter if you are big or small. I think even Costco (who is down to 134.9) could even go a penny or so less than that but be as it may, I would expect as a minimum that prices in Prince George should have dropped by seven to ten cents per litre.”
