WHL:

The Prince George Cougars visit the (5-11-2-1) Spokane Chiefs tonight and the (4-11-3) Tri-City Americans on Saturday.

The (7-13) Cougars, who are coming off Wednesday’s 6-2 loss to Portland, have dropped three straight and seven of their last eight.

Prince George is 4th in the B.C. Division, eight points behind Kelowna and nine behind second-place Vancouver.

The (10-7) Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (15-3-1) Salmon Arm Silverbacks Saturday in their only game this weekend.

The Spruce Kings began December with a 5-1 loss to the visiting Penticton Vees.

BC Elite Hockey League: (Cariboo Cougars U18 AAA)

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars will host the (5-11-1-1) Thompson Blazers Saturday night at 4:30 and Sunday morning at 9:00 at Kin 1.

The (7-7-1-1) Cougars are in 5th place in the 10-team league.

Cariboo beat Thompson last weekend in Kamloops, 3-1 Saturday and 2-1 Sunday.

Canada West basketball:

The UNBC Timberwolves visit the Victoria Vikes tonight and Saturday nights in their final Canada West basketball games in 2021.

The UNBC women are 4-2 on the season while the men are 2-4.

Victoria is 2-4 in the women’s division and 5-1 in the men’s standings.

NBA:
