Police seeking driver potentially linked to shooting incident

The Prince George RCMP are seeking information from the public about a shooting in January.

On January 22nd, police began an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred that day. Police say the investigation started at the hospital, where police responded to a report of a man in the emergency room suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

“Our investigation has led us to try and identify the driver of a very unique truck that dropped the victim off at the hospital,” said PG RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“The truck looks like it is an older model GMC, the driver’s side of the vehicle is red, and the passenger side is black, and there are blue or black racing stripes down the hood. The hood of the truck, the roof, and the tailgate are white, so this is a fairly unique truck and we’re hoping someone in Prince George knows who drives it or where it might be right now.”

Anyone with information on the driver or the truck is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP’s non emergency line at 250-561-3300, or crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
