Mother Nature not putting around the PG golf season so far

It’s been a wonky start to the golf season for the two biggest courses in Prince George.

Don McDermid with the PG Golf and Curling Club spoke with MyPGNow.com.

“It was a quick shut down when we got our 10 centimetres of snow the other day but the upside to that is that it is well-watered again.”

“There was no damage from the snow. You would have to go to minus 20 to really damage the course. Everything is greening up faster than usual this season and we look to have a good season this year.”

Play resumed at the course earlier today (Friday). The Golf and Curling Club opened for the season on Good Friday.

Aberdeen Glen is slated to begin play next Thursday or Friday, however, the driving range is open.
