Brock Boeser scored at 4:30 of overtime for the (40-30-11) Canucks who will conclude their season tonight when they visit the Edmonton Oilers.

Vancouver is 32-15-9 since Bruce Boudreau took over as coach, but the Canucks have missed the playoffs for the sixth time in the last seven years.

The Prince George Cougars’ season ended when they lost to the Portland Winterhawks 2-1 on Wednesday before 1,727 fans at CN Centre.

The Winterhawks swept the best-of-7 WHL Western Conference quarterfinal 4-0.
