PG RCMP looking for witnesses to second stabbing in a week

The Prince George RCMP are looking for witnesses to a stabbing that happened Tuesday night.

Just before 2:30 a.m., police received a report of a man who was stabbed outside of a business on the 1500-block of 20th Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a 35-year-old man suffering from several stab wounds.

The victim is still in hospital, and the file remains currently under investigation.

“Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who was in the area and witnessed the event,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“We are hoping they can provide us with information on the suspect, who is described as a shorter man wearing a hat, jeans, and a dark sweater.”

Police do not believe there is a connection between this incident and the investigation into a fatal stabbing that happened on Saturday.

Meanwhile, police have identified the victim of Saturday’s stabbing as 28-year-old Devon Lindstrom.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim at this time,” Cooper said.

Both investigations are ongoing.
