BC Football Conference:

The Prince George Kodiaks will play their inaugural home opener tonight.

The Kodiaks will host the Kamloops Broncos tonight at Masich Place Stadium (7:00 p.m.)

Hlinka Gretzky Cup:

Canada  4  Finland  1

Canada will play Sweden in the gold medal game this afternoon. (4:00 p.m.)

MLB:

Minnesota Twins  6  Toronto Blue Jays  5

Homers from Matt Chapman, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Santiagio Espinal weren’t enough as the jays  fell to the Twins in an extra inning.

The same teams will play this afternoon. (4:10)

CFL:

Calgary Stampeders  17  Ottawa Redblacks  3

The Stampeders came up strong defensively, and scored the only touchdown of the game on pick-six from Titus Wall.

This afternoon, the Battle of Ontario as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will visit the Toronto Argonauts (4:00 p.m.).

Later tonight, a West Division matchup will feature the BC Lions hosting the Edmonton Elks (7:00 p.m.)
