World Junior Hockey Championships – Canada: 5  vs  Czechia: 2

Canada will be advancing to the gold medal game after a 5-2 win over Czechia. Kent Johnson and Owen Zellweger lead the way offensively for Canada, both scoring three points.

They will play Finland for the gold medal tonight at 5:00. Czechia and Sweeden will also battle for bronze this afternoon at 1:00.

BC Football Conference

The Prince George Kodiaks (0-3) will play the Valley Huskers (3-1) for the third time in the first four games of the season tonight, in Prince George.

This will be the Kodiaks’ second ever home game. Their home opener was on August 6th against the Kamloops Broncos, a 35-20 loss that saw Masich Place Stadium packed shoulder to shoulder with fans.

MLB – Blue Jays: 4  vs  Yankees – 0

For the second game in a row, the Jays come up big against the division leading Yankees.

They now find themselves 8 games back of New York for first in the AL East, and play their third of four this week head to head this morning at 10:05.

It was also a milestone night for Guerrero Jr.

CFL: Lions: 28  vs  Roughriders – 10

The Lions stay hot, winning their fifth straight game last night against the Roughriders.

They now move to one game behind the league leading Blue Bombers, who are not on the field this weekend.

This game was not all positive for the Lions, star QB Nathan Rourke left the game early in the 4th quarter with a boot on an injured foot.

The severity of the injury is still unknown.
