The first round of playoffs continue today, the Seattle Mariners find themselves in a must win situation at home at 1:07, down 2-0 in their series to the Houston Astros.
Yesterday, the San Diego Padres edged out the Dodgers 2-1 to take the series lead by the same score.
The Phillies also won last night to take a 2-1 series lead over the Braves, but that game was anything but close at 9-1.

The Yankees and Guardians will play game three tonight at 4:37, they are tied 1-1.
The Dodgers and Padres will rematch tonight at 6:37 as well.
NHL:
The Vancouver Canucks will look for their first win in Philadelphia this afternoon at 1:00.
That will be one of 14 games tonight, other games of note are the first battle of Alberta, the Senators and Maple Leafs, Canadiens and Capitals, and Tampa Bay vs Pittsburgh.
All the NHL action kicks off at 10:00 in Buffalo.
WHL:
The Prince George Cougars (3-4-0-0) have dropped below .500 for the first time this season, seven games in.
Tonight will be a challenge for the young team, as Canada’s top ranked team is rolling into the CN Centre tonight.
The Winnipeg Ice are 6-1-0-0 so far this season, and are stacked with four NHL drafted players, two of which went in the first round last year: Connor Geekie and Matt Savoie.
Winnipeg is coming off a 4-1 win over Lethbridge, while the Cougars just lost to Brandon on Wednesday.

The Spruce Kings’ impressive start to the season continued last night in Vernon, improving to 6-1-0-0.

The Spruce Kings remain in second place in the Interior division, only behind the always strong Penticton Vees, who are 7-0 and trailed in a game for the first time this season last night.

CFL
The BC Lions and Winnipeg Blue Bombers face off tonight as the best in the west. BC still hasn’t fully recovered from the loss of QB Nathan Rourke and have the Calgary Stampeders breathing down their necks in the standings.
Calgary lost last night to Hamilton.
This is the Lions’ third to last game of the regular season, two of those games will be against the Blue Bombers.
The good news: Nathan Rourke may be returning to the field earlier than expected.

The female Timberwolves dropped a tight match to the TRU wolfpack last night, a 1-0 final at Masich Place Stadium. They are next in action tomorrow against UBC Okanagan, once again at home, for the final game of the 2022 season.
The men play against UBC Okanagan this morning and tomorrow afternoon at Masich Place Stadium, they will close out their season next weekend at UFV.
Michael Henman has has 16 goals so far this season, and will be fighting hard to push himself over that 20 barrier these next two weekends.
