Former Cariboo Cougar coming home to join the Spruce Kings

The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired 2004-born forward Scott Cousins from the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League.

“We’re excited to add Scott to our group,” said Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes.

“Most importantly, he’s a great person from a great family. He’s also a skilled hard-working player that will fit in with our hard-working group of forwards.”

Cousins played 52 games with the Rockets over three seasons, notching four goals and eight assists.

The Prince George product was also the BCEHL U17 Player of the Year during the 2019-2020 season while playing for the Cariboo Cougars U17 team.

That year, he tallied a staggering 28 goals and 29 assists in just 28 games.

The Spruce Kings are in Chilliwack this week for the 2022 BCHL Showcase.
