WHL:

PG Cougars  4  Kamloops Blazers  3 (OT)

Ty Young was incredible in net for the Cougars, stopping 45 of 48 Kamloops shots in the win.

Koehn Ziemmer was the overtime hero for the Cougars, scoring the winning goal to cap off a three-point night.

With the win, the Cougars improve to 5-5-0-0.

The Cougars will return home to the CN Centre for a weekend double-header with the Seattle Thunderbirds Friday and Saturday.

BCHL:

PG Spruce Kings  8  Vernon Vipers  0 

John Herrington posted a hat-trick for the Spruce Kings in the win.

Jordan Fairlie stopped all 24 Vernon shots he faced.

With the win, the Spruce Kings improve to 7-3-0-1, good for third in the BCHL’s Interior Conference.

The Spruce Kings will return home for a doubleheader against the Wenatchee Wild next weekend.

The (5-2) U18 Cariboo Cougars have won five straight.
