Merritt Centennials: 3 vs Prince George Spruce Kings: 2
The Spruce Kings (9-5-1-1) have lost their third straight while trying to crack the 10-win mark.
This was the first time the Cents have beat the Spruce Kings in over two years.
They will play Merritt (5-9-2-0) again tonight (Friday) on the road, and will return home on Wednesday to host Alberni Valley (7-7-1-0)
NHL
Three teams scored seven or more goals last night.
Jack Eichel scored a hat trick in Buffalo, Vegas won 7-4 for their ninth straight win.
The Rangers beat Detroit 8-2, which included a 6-goal third period.
Andrei Svechnikov’s hat trick helped Carolina beat Edmonton 7-2.
There are four games in the NHL tonight – Pittsburgh vs Toronto (4:00), Tampa Bay vs Washington (4:00), San Jose vs Dallas (5:30) Minnesota vs Seattle (7:00).
WHL
The Prince George Cougars play two feature games against the Vancouver Giants this weekend, Saturday at 6:00 and Sunday at 2:00.
They will try and rebound after a 8-6 loss to Kelowna on Wednesday, ending their five game road trip and three game winning streak.
They currently sit first in the BC Division, one point ahead of Kamloops – who have three games in hand.

The Toronto Raptors (7-5) are in Oklahoma City (4-7) and will play the Thunder at 5:00.

The male Timberwolves will play UBC on the road tomorrow and Sunday at 4:00
