The Cats have acquired 19-year-old Zac Funk from the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for Carter MacAdams, and a 2023 2nd round picks, and a 2nd and 4th round pick in 2024.

Funk, a product of Coldstream, BC, has notched 13 goals and 32 points in 33 games this season, as well as 45 penalty minutes.

“Zac is the type of player we were looking for at the deadline,” said Cougars Head Coach and GM Mark Lamb.

“He’s got experience, he can score, and plays a heavy physical game.”

The 6′, 200 lb forward has played in 129 WHL games, collecting 78 points (39 G, 39 A) over that time.
