Rural areas outside of Prince George could lose their recycling.
Since Multi-Material BC says they will only provide curbside recycling for the Prince George area, the Regional District of Fraser Fort George is deciding what to do with the region’s recycling drop-depot bins.
The board is discussing three options this morning; to let their current contract for pickup expire at the end of month, continue it for another year, or connect it to PG’s recycling with MMBC come September via the bins.
External Relations Manager Renee McCloskey says this only affects McBride, Valemount, and Mackenzie, not Vanderhoof or Prince George.
