WHL:

The (19-21-4) Prince George Cougars host the (14-29-4-1) Victoria Royals tonight (Friday) and Saturday.

Prince George is tied with Vancouver for 2nd in the B.C. Division and 6th in the Western Conference, five points behind Everett and 11 back of 4th place Tri-City.

The Cougars are nine points ahead of the Royals, who are tied with the Kelowna Rockets for the last playoff spot.

BCHL:

The Prince George Spruce Kings are on the road this weekend for three games in as many days.

The (20-14-2-1) Spruce Kings will play at Cranbrook tonight, Trail Saturday, and Salmon Arm on Sunday.

Their next home games will be Feb 10th and 11th against Merritt.

Prince George is 4th in the Interior Division, a point ahead of Salmon Arm.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)

(U18 male)  

The (11-14-1) Under-18 Cariboo Cougars host the (14-9-3-2) Vancouver North East Chiefs this morning (Friday) at 11:30 and Saturday morning at 9:00 at Kin 1.

Cariboo is 7th and Vancouver NE is 4th in the 9-team division.

(U18 female)  

The (9-16-3) Under-18 female Northern Capitals visit the (3-23-2) Greater Vancouver Comets Saturday afternoon at 3:30 and Sunday morning at 10:30 in Burnaby.

The Caps are 4th and the Comets last in the 5-team division.

NHL: 

The NHL is into its All-Star break.

Regular season action resumes with six games on Monday, including Vancouver at New Jersey as the (20-26-3) Canucks begin a four-game road trip.

Canada West Basketball:

The UNBC Timberwolves have their final Canada West basketball home games of the season as they entertain the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack tonight at 5:00 and 7:00 and Saturday at 4:00 and 6:00.

The Timberwolves complete their regular season on Feb 10th and 11th at Brandon.

UNBC is 6-10 and in 12th place out of 17 teams in both the men’s and women’s divisions with just four games left.

The top 12 qualify for the playoffs starting Feb 17th.

Thompson Rivers is 5-11 (men) and 1-15 (women).

The (23-30) Toronto Raptors are 2-3 on a 7-game road trip that will continue tonight (5:00 PT) at Houston and conclude Sunday (3:00) at Memphis.
