WHL:

Prince George Cougars  7  Kelowna Rockets  2  (Wednesday)

The Cougars posted their season-high tying fourth straight victory, outscoring the opposition 24-6 during the streak.

13 different P.G. players picked up at least one point before 2,211 fans at CN Centre.

Chase Wheatcroft had his second three-point game in as many nights to give him 11 points in his last four games.

He scored twice, including his team-leading 32nd goal, and added an assist.

The (23-21-4) Cougars play the (17-28-3) Rockets again Friday in Kelowna.

Prince George is 2nd in the B.C. Division and 6th in the Western Conference, just two points behind Everett and five back of Tri-City.

(U18 male)  

The (11-14-1-2) Under-18 Cariboo Cougars host the (0-29-0-1) North Island Silvertips four times in just three days.

The two teams play Friday night at 6:30 in Quesnel, Saturday morning at 9:00 at Kin 1, Saturday afternoon at 4:15 at Kin 1, and Sunday morning at 8:15 at Kin 1.

The UNBC Timberwolves conclude their Canada West basketball regular season with a doubleheader against the Bobcats Friday and Saturday in Brandon.
