Prince George Cougars: 9  vs  Kelowna Rockets: 2

The Cougars offense continues to dominate BC’s bottom teams.

They are now riding a 5 game winning streak, outscoring their opponents (Victoria, Kelowna) 33-8 in that span and moving themselves back into the conversation for 4th place in the conference.

Extending the streak to 6 will be a challenge, as they square off against the BC leading Kamloops Blazers at 7:00 in Kamloops tonight.

Merritt Centennials: 3  vs  Prince George Spruce Kings: 2 (OT)

Despite outshooting Merritt 40-14, the Spruce Kings were not able to get the job done on home ice against the division’s bottom team.

Linden Makow tied the game with a little over a minute left in the third period to secure the extra point.

Cariboo Cougars: 9  vs  North Island Silvertips: 0

32 games into the year and North Island is still looking for their first win.

They are 0-31-0-1, averaging 0.72 goals per game and 8.75 goals against per game.

This is the first of four meetings this weekend between the teams, though North Island forfeited one so they did not have to play two today.

The wins move Cariboo within one point of the Valley West Giants for 6th place.
